About Sterling OMS
Sterling
OMS is also called a Sterling Order Management System. IBM Sterling Order
Management System provides the facility to order, fulfil and return from
anywhere. A brief overview of how Order Management System process goes on.
Usually,
the retailers keep store and e-commerce inventory separate, managed by separate
systems. This stops you from having an integrated view of your whole inventory
and fulfilling orders from own location with the most inventories, so it leads
to minimize the season markdowns. Order management system helps you deal with inventory
that is in-transit from suppliers, or drop-ship orders.
A
Distributed Order Management system is the central hub that connects all the
other systems. Designed exclusively to amalgamate easily with other
applications and it can be used to serve information to your other channels,
keeping them all in sync, so you can provide a faultless multi-channel
experience for your customers. Order Management is the engine that allows these
top retailers to provide many of the Omni-channel services that are standard
today, including:
- Buy online, ship to store
- Buy online, pick up in-store
- Buy online, return/exchange in-store
- Buy in-store, ship to home
It
also enables flexible fulfilment options, including fulfilling from a store, so
you can view inventory and fulfil orders from all your locations, not just
distribution centres. And it offers an integrated call centre, ensuring that
the high-quality customer experience is maintained across all customer touch
points. But Order Management is not just for retailers.
